Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements: We require weekly on-site work and regular travel to client locations across the UK.We require either active Security Check (SC) clearance or eligibility and willingness to undergo the clearance process.We typically expect UK citizenship and continuous residence in the UK for at least the past five years, with no single absence exceeding 28 consecutive days, as part of the vetting process.We are unable to progress applications from candidates who do not meet these security requirements.We are looking for people with experience as a Software Developer.We need demonstrable experience building high-quality, user-centred services using Java or Scala.We need experience selecting and applying additional languages such as Kotlin, Ruby or JavaScript to deliver the right solutions.We need experience designing and developing well-structured, maintainable systems using object-oriented principles.We need strong testing practices to ensure quality, reliability and confidence in your work.We need recent government or public sector experience.We need experience delivering complex digital services aligned to Government Digital Service (GDS) standards.We need the ability to adapt to new technologies, continue developing skills and contribute across the stack.We need experience working effectively within agile teams to deliver value iteratively.We need the ability to maintain and prioritise a team backlog to support focused, value-driven delivery.We need the ability to lead implementation of user stories from refinement through to completion.We need the ability to collaborate with others to deliver a strong, shared testing approach.We need the ability to work collaboratively through pairing and mobbing to improve outcomes and share knowledge.We need the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and clients, and communicate clearly to shape solutions.We need the ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments, responding positively to new challenges.We need resilience and a growth mindset, using feedback to continuously improve.We need the ability to operate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver value.
