Salary: £61,000 - 101,000 per year
Requirements: Strong software development experience in one of Java, Scala, or PythonSoftware development experience with data-processing platforms from vendors such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or DatabricksExperience developing substantial components for large-scale data processing solutions and deploying into a production environmentProficient in SQL and SQL extensions for analytical queriesSolid understanding of ETL/ELT data processing pipelines and design patternsAwareness of key features and pitfalls of distributed data processing frameworks, data stores, and data serialisation formatsAbility to write quality, testable code and experience with automated testingExperience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment techniquesA keen interest in AI technologiesExperience with performance tuningExperience with data visualisation and complex data transformationsExperience with streaming and event-processing architectures, including technologies such as Kafka and change-data-capture productsExpertise in continuous improvement and sharing input on data best practicePractical experience with AI technologies, tools, processes, and delivery Responsibilities: Design and develop data processing and data persistence software components for solutions that handle data at scaleWork in agile teams and provide strong development leadership on significant technical components of data systemsDesign and develop large-scale data processing software to meet user needs in demanding production environmentsDevelop data processing software primarily for deployment in big data technologiesDeliver the full software lifecycle, including design, code, test, and defect resolutionWork with architects and lead engineers to ensure software supports non-functional needsCollaborate with colleagues to resolve implementation challenges and maintain high code quality and maintainabilityLead by example in code qualityWork with operations teams to ensure operational readinessAdvise customers and managers on the estimated effort and technical implications of user stories and user journeysCoach and mentor team members Technologies: AIAWSAzureBig DataDatabricksETLGCPJavaKafkaPythonSQLScalaCloudSupport More:
