Job Title: Statutory Compliance Coordinator Reference: 331 Department: Estates - Maintenance Operations Contract Type: Fixed-term contract Fixed Term End Date: 30/04/2027 Hours: Full-time, 36.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE) Closing Date: Sunday 4 October 2026, 11:59 pm Full time Salary Range: £31,236.00 - £34,610.00 per annum About the Role The role of the Statutory Compliance Co-ordinator is to coordinate asset information and activity between the contractor, Estates, and academic and professional services departments relating to assets and planned inspections and remedial actions, to supervise the statutory inspection contract and other surveying/ building inspection contracts to ensure statutory compliance of the University’s assets and that remedial maintenance activities are delivered for the University. About You You will be responsible for coordinating and organising site visits and inspection schedules with third-party maintenance contractors, ensuring that all relevant departments are fully briefed and prepared. You will communicate inspection outcomes effectively and ensure that appropriate feedback is shared with key stakeholders. You will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all site visits, inspections and outcomes, ensuring that relevant certification and documentation is properly collated, organised and readily accessible when required. You will also contribute to the development and continuous improvement of procedures and processes relating to the effective management of contracted services. A key part of the role will be supporting the development of robust processes for University departments to formally report the addition or removal of assets requiring statutory inspection. You will act as a key point of contact for compliance reviews and audits undertaken by the Estates Assurance Team and external regulatory bodies, ensuring that all relevant records and documentation are available and maintained to the required standards. About the Department The Assets and PPM Team sits within the Maintenance and Operations area of the Estates Department and holds responsibility for the upkeep of the University Asset Management System as well as the creation of PPM and Lifecycle Replacement Plans. As a Statutory Compliance Co-ordinator you will be an intricate member of a team that is responsible for the creation and dissemination of key information.
