Job Title: Senior Finance Assistant Reference: 317 Department: Warwick Business School - Finance Office Contract Type: Indefinite Hours: Full-time, 36.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE) Closing Date: Tuesday 6 October 2026, 11:59PM Full time Salary Range: £26,707.00 - £30,378.00 per annum About the Role This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Business School by joining the WBS Finance team as a Senior Finance Assistant and gain broad experience across purchase and sales transactions, travel and expenses, reconciliations, journals and financial reporting. You will lead the travel finance service for allocated staff groups, provide practical advice on financial systems and procedures, and contribute to training, process improvements and projects across the School. This varied role offers an opportunity to develop your finance expertise while helping WBS deliver an accurate, efficient and supportive service. About You We are looking for someone with experience of processing sales and purchase ledger transactions using a large computerised accounting system. You should have strong attention to detail and numeracy skills, communicate clearly and build effective working relationships. You will need to organise competing priorities, complete work accurately by the required deadlines and be willing to suggest practical improvements when a process could work better.
