Your key Responsibilities Reads, writes and tests embedded SW Addresses task scheduling, concurrency and shared resource protection. Understands microcontroller hardware architecture, software architecture and functions. Uses debuggers (including Lauterbach) to trace logic from symptom to root cause. Writes debugger scripts to automate processes and resolve common issues. Applies knowledge of script languages for personalized debugging solutions. Ensures efficient troubleshooting to maintain software reliability. Develops test strategies and concepts. Plans tests and defines requirements for testing. Conducts inspections and executes tests with appropriate methods (e.g. simulation). Evaluates test results. Provides bug fixes and monitors and maintains products. Understands SW architecture and coding guidelines to design efficient and maintainable code. Designs and implements unit test cases covering code coverage, coding guideline, functional and software design requirements. Debugs and documents software, including organizing code reviews and ensuring traceability per ASPICE standards. Implement the software for Microcontroller abstraction, Real-time operating systems, Communication services, Diagnostic services (UDS,DEM,FIM), Memory management, Hardware abstraction, Watchdog & system services and Bootloader Develop and integrate security mechanisms, including Secure boot, Secure firmware updates, Secure flashing, Cryptographic services, Key management, Authentication & authorization, Secure diagnostics, Secure communication, Data integrity and access protection Implement cybersecurity requirements within BSW and embedded software components. Participate in threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment activities Your Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Professional experience in embedded software development, preferably in automotive or industrial systems Strong programming skills in embedded C Experience with microcontrollers, real-time systems, hardware interfaces, and software-hardware integration Practical experience with BSW development, configuration, integration and testing Experience implementing or integrating cybersecurity features in embedded systems Knowledge of secure coding, vulnerability analysis, and security testing Experience with software requirements, architecture, testing, debugging, and configuration management Knowledge of cryptographic concepts and algorithms Experience with secure boot, secure updates, secure diagnostics, and key provisioning. Experience with Hardware Security Modules or secure elements. Familiarity with tools such as Git, Jenkins, CANoe, CANalyzer, CANAPE, Visual Studio Code, Enterprise Architect, Polarian, Tessy, Lauterbach (Trace 32), INCA EB tresos, or equivalent tools. Experience with static code analysis, fuzz testing, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing. Cybersecurity certification or relevant professional training is an advantage Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
