• Work on commercial renovation and new build construction projects, installing and maintaining electrical systems in commercial facilities. • Interpret and follow plans and blueprints provided by the general contractor to lay out and install conduit and wiring accurately. • Bend conduit and pipe and rough in conduit runs according to project specifications and electrical codes. • Run and pull wire for power distribution, lighting, heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration units. • Wire instruments and controls that manage power, lighting, and mechanical systems in commercial buildings. • Use power tools, including saws and drills, to cut, shape, and install electrical components and materials. • Operate and maintain testing tools such as ohmmeters and other test meters to verify proper operation and safety of electrical systems. • Utilize pipe threaders and conduit benders to fabricate and install conduit runs in a neat and code-compliant manner. • Read and interpret electrical blueprints and construction drawings to plan work and identify material and labor needs. • Provide and use your own basic hand tools and testing tools at the start of employment. • Follow all safety protocols and OSHA standards while working on active construction sites. • Collaborate in 2–4 person crews to complete tasks efficiently and support overall project timelines. • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure that installations meet quality and safety requirements. • Communicate effectively with crew members and site leadership regarding progress, issues, and material needs. • Experience working on commercial new build and renovation projects. • Ability to bend conduit accurately using conduit benders and related tools. • Strong blueprint reading skills to interpret electrical plans and construction drawings. • Comfort working in small crews of 2–4 people and coordinating tasks with team members. • Ability to provide personal basic tools and testing equipment at the start of employment. • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering neat, code-compliant conduit and wiring installations. The standard schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, offering a consistent daytime work routine. The environment is an active commercial construction setting where you regularly use power tools, testing equipment, pipe threaders, and conduit benders, and follow OSHA safety standards throughout each project. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Rochester, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
