Job summary This job role gives the successful candidate the opportunity to work independently to deliver high-quality patient care by providing expert clinical support within the paediatric physiotherapy team, specifically with regard to the Musculo-Skeletal pathway and development of the CPIPs pathway. The post-holder will work closely alongside colleagues to ensure services run efficiently to give the service-user the best possible outcomes.
Main duties of the job Main duties of the job
To contribute to providing and maintaining a high-quality Physiotherapy service to the paediatric population (0-19) and their families within the London Borough of Redbridge. To have oversight of the Physiotherapy provision across the Musculo-Skeletal caseload including supporting with the set-up of CPIPS clinics in Redbridge. To support with the development of this provision. To be able to also support with the delivery of physiotherapy across other pathways as required, within both the clinical and community settings. To be responsible for organising and prioritising own caseload in the day-to-day allocation of work, to deliver a high standard of physiotherapy assessment and treatment with a high level of expertise. To deputise when required in the team manager's absence and delegate tasks appropriately. To have organisational knowledge relating to Trust protocols and procedures and adhere to them. To be responsible for ensuring that all processes relating to PT service provision are working well. To work in the context of a multi-disciplinary team including the services from Health, Education and Social Care. To improve integrated delivery to children and young people with SEN/Disabilities and using highly refined communication skills inform wider stakeholders of the remit and functions of the service. Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High-Cost Area Supplement
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,870 and a maximum payment of £6,137) pro rata for part time staff.
