NELFT provided a wide range of community and mental health services to a large population across Goodmayes and North East London.
We are looking for pharmacists to join this growing team to provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy and dispensary services. We will offer the opportunity for flexibility in working patterns and hours as well as opportunities to work in our London sites in Mental Health and/or Community Health Services. Main duties of the job Main duties of the job
Being part of a specialist pharmacy team working within mental health services (MHS) and community health services (CHS) ensuring that the changing medicines optimisation and pharmacy needs are being met across NELFT within the inpatient setting and community teams.
Providing a clinical ward pharmacy service to MHS and CHS inpatient wards and community teams within NELFT.
Supporting the development and implementation of medicines optimisation initiatives within MHS and CHS promote high quality medicine use, effective risk management, clinical governance, and adherence to policies and guidelines concerning medicines use across all settings. Supporting getting the best value from medicines spend within this area across all services.
Supporting and contributing to clinical audits and quality improvement projects.
Developing and delivering the pharmacy relevant training packages to assist medical, nursing and pharmacy staff across MHS and CHS.
Working closely with quality and patient safety teams to review quality and risk management issues related to pharmacy and medicine management.
Line managing and mentoring a rotational Band 6/7 pharmacist, including undertaking regular 1:1s, appraisals and completing practice supervision forms.
Participating in the provision of dispensary services.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Masters degree in pharmacy or equivalent
Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
Postgraduate Diploma or MSC in clinical pharmacy or equivalent
NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy
Desirable
Member of the RPS
Experience Essential
Extensive experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
Experience of working with senior medical staff and other healthcare
Proven track record in managing staff Experience as a specialist/direct
Experience of dealing with patients and the public
