About this role

Job summary We are excited to offer a permanent opportunity for a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Harold Hill Health Centre. This full-time role, offering 37.5 hours per week, is graded at Band 6 with a salary range of £39,959 to £48,117 (pro-rated for less than full-time). You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients within the community, helping to make a meaningful difference to their lives.

Main duties of the job This role offers the opportunity to provide specialist Occupational Therapist assessment and intervention to patients within the community. You will contribute to the delivery of excellent care while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Your expertise will directly enhance the quality of life for patients and their families.

Provide specialist Occupational Therapist assessment and intervention to patients in community settings. Organise, prioritise, and delegate tasks within your workload, including forward planning to ensure effective service delivery. Offer clinical supervision, specialist advice, and support to colleagues and students on fieldwork placements. Actively contribute to multidisciplinary team collaboration and effective team functioning. Deliver high standards of therapy care tailored to the needs of patients and their families. Essential Skills and Qualifications Ability to act as an autonomous registered practitioner, legally and professionally accountable for unsupervised actions, in line with professional codes of conduct and organisational protocols. Demonstrated legal and professional responsibility for all aspects of your own work.

Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office at Goodmayes Hospital.

Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

High Cost Area Supplement – Outer London (B&D, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest, Goodmayes) This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941 p.a. pro rata for part time).
