Job summary Job overview

This job role gives the successful candidate the opportunity to work independently to deliver high-quality patient care by providing clinical support within the paediatric physiotherapy team, working across a variety of pathways. The post-holder will work closely alongside colleagues to ensure services run efficiently to give the service-user the best possible outcomes.

Main duties of the job Main duties of the job:

To be responsible for high-quality assessments and delivery of treatments across a variety of paediatric physiotherapy pathways, supporting service-users within clinic, home and both mainstream and special schools environments. To be able to provide accurate reports for children requiring specific advice for EHCP statutory needs assessments. To be responsible for organising and prioritising own and others workload in the day-to-day allocation of work. To work within the trust clinical guidelines and professional guidelines. To have a good working knowledge of national and local standards and monitor their own and others quality of practice as appropriate. To be aware of, and respect the right to patient choice and dignity, and promote the Trusts Equal Opportunities Policy. To participate with the team in Service Delivery. To be responsible for organising and planning own caseload to meet service and patient priorities. To undertake other duties which may be delegated (as appropriate) by the service Clinical Lead or Band 7 pathway lead.

The post holder will be responsible for managing their own workload, prioritising tasks effectively, and ensuring deadlines are met. They will be expected to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to high standards. The role may involve working across multiple sites and requires excellent communication and organisational skills.

Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

High Cost Area Supplement – Outer London (B&D, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest, CEME) This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941 p.a. pro rata for part time).
