Finance Assistant
6 Month Contract (View to go permanent)
Full time - 35 hours per week (hybrid working after handover)
Based just outside Haywards Heath (car owner)
£30,000 - £32,000 per annum, plus further benefits and parking
Tony Alan Recruitment are looking for a Finance Assistant to join an established £50m+ turnover business based just outside the Haywards Heath area.
To organise and coordinate the running of the purchase ledger and assisting the group accountants with preparation of the monthly accounts and year end.
Key responsibilities will include:
Ensure targets and objectives are achieved in accordance with management instructionsOverseeing the month end responsibilities of the purchase ledger team and ensuring they are completed on a timely basisAdvise staff on correct procedures and practices and ensure they are being followedPrepare cashflow forecasts weekly as well as on requestResponsible for a number of month end prep tasks and assisting the group management accountant with daily, monthly and yearly tasks when requested (Example: Accruals, Fixed Assets & Depreciation, Control accounts)Responsible for first authorisation of payment runs and payment requestResponsible for changing supplier details on the systemAnswering staff questions from other departments as well as from outside the companyRaising purchase orders Key requirements:
Proven understanding and knowledge of purchase ledgerGood understanding of process, procedures and accounting standards (month end)AAT highly advantageousAvailable at short notice If you feel that you would be suitable for this position then please apply with your CV.
