Salary: £43,000 - 83,000 per year
Requirements: We require hands-on cross-platform development experience, with comfort developing on both Windows and Linux.We require experience with WSL.We require a strong understanding of Windows 11 developer tooling, including Dev Drive, WSL2, Hyper-V, and containerization.We require Docker and containerization expertise on Windows across both WSL2 and Hyper-V, including an understanding of performance and security trade-offs.We require a solid grasp of SDLC and CI/CD best practices, with the ability to align tooling with governance and release workflows.We prefer MacOS development experience.We prefer exposure to endpoint security tools such as BeyondTrust and privilege or application control.We prefer experience working in regulated financial services.We prefer familiarity with Intune and modern device management for developers.We prefer CI/CD experience, preferably with GitHub Actions.We prefer Windows performance profiling and optimization skills.Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the specified work location.Candidates will be required to go through background checks before commencing the contract. Responsibilities: We will have you design, evaluate, and implement a modern development environment across Windows and Linux.We will have you focus on enabling developer productivity while ensuring strong security alignment.We will have you support large-scale Windows 11 feature adoption.We will have you shape the long-term strategy for a unified development platform.We will have you evaluate and implement WSL2 to improve developer workflows.We will have you balance security requirements with developer experience, partnering closely with security teams.We will have you collaborate with architecture teams to define a cross-platform developer environment strategy.We may require occasional travel to London based on business need.
