Payroll Specialist Aston Carter is partnering with a large Calgary-based organization to hire a Payroll Specialist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, compliant payroll services.In this role, you will be responsible for processing end-to-end payroll for a large employee population across multiple provinces, with a focus on Alberta and British Columbia payroll administration.
Responsibilities
• Process end-to-end payroll for 300+ employees • Administer multi-provincial payroll, including Alberta and British Columbia • Ensure accuracy of earnings, deductions, benefits, and taxes • Maintain and update employee payroll records • Support payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and company policies • Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner • Partner with HR and Finance teams on payroll-related matters • Assist with year-end payroll activities, including T4 preparation and review Qualifications Must Have:
• 2+ years of payroll experience • Experience processing payroll for 300+ employees • Hands-on experience with Alberta and British Columbia payroll • Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment Nice to Have:
• Experience using Vista software • PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation or currently pursuing certification • Experience supporting year-end payroll processes and T4s Why Apply?
