Bristol Academy South is seeking a committed and ambitious Deputy SEND Lead to support the delivery of high-quality SEND provision across the academy. Working closely with the SEND team, you will help ensure students with additional needs receive the support they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional who is dedicated to inclusion and improving outcomes for young people. You will work collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies, contributing to the development of effective strategies that remove barriers to learning and promote student success.

Key responsibilities:
Support the SENDCO in the strategic and operational delivery of SEND provision across the academy.Monitor the progress and attainment of pupils with SEND.Coordinate annual reviews for pupils with Education, Health and care Plans.Lead on the coordination and administration of Examination Access Arrangements (EAA).Liaise with parents, carers and families to support outcomes for pupils.Pay range:
SCP 28 - 31: £35,571.45 - £37,950.56FTE: £40,444.00 - £43,149.0037 hours per week, 39 weeks per yearPermanent
Qualifications and Skills:
GCSE Maths and English Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current SEND legislation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, colleagues and external professionals.Ability to analyse information and identify appropriate support strategies.Strong organisational and administrative skills.
