In this role, you'll help rebuild and refurbish emergency vehicles by transferring vehicle bodies and equipment onto new chassis, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and ready for service. You'll work alongside a team of experienced professionals dedicated to keeping emergency vehicles mission-ready for the communities they serve. What You'll Do • Remove and remount emergency vehicle bodies onto new chassis. • Install emergency equipment, including lighting, sirens, radios, antennas, and other specialty components. • Reconnect, modify, or replace electrical wiring, lighting, HVAC, and control systems. • Remove and reinstall OEM interior components and trim. • Fabricate, repair, or modify brackets, panels, cabinetry, and hardware as needed. • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and installation issues. • Maintain accurate documentation and complete work orders. • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with company and OSHA safety standards. • Support additional shop projects as needed. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications • Valid driver's license. • Must have your own tools. • Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly. • Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions. • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications • High school diploma or GED. • Automotive technical school training or related hands-on experience. • Experience with vehicle electrical systems, fabrication, or equipment installation is a plus.
