Job Title: Solar General LaborerJob DescriptionThe Solar General Laborer supports solar installation and demolition activities by performing hands-on construction and mechanical assembly tasks on existing solar projects. This role focuses on safely changing out clamps, dismantling and assembling racks, and handling heavy materials while working outdoors in a fast-paced environment. You follow detailed instructions, use basic hand and power tools, and consistently wear appropriate personal protective equipment to ensure safe and efficient project execution.Responsibilities

• Use basic hand tools to change out clamps on existing solar projects according to detailed instructions and project specifications. • Perform general labor tasks, including dismantling solar racks, assembling components, and supporting installation and demolition activities. • Handle heavy lifting and material movement as part of daily job duties while maintaining safe body mechanics. • Operate hand and power tools confidently and safely to complete construction, mechanical assembly, carpentry, and solar panel assembly tasks. • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including consistent use of PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, vests, hard hats, and face shields. • Work comfortably and productively in outdoor conditions, adapting to changing weather and site environments. • Support commercial and utility-scale solar construction projects by assisting skilled installers and technicians as needed. • Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members to ensure tasks are completed on time and to quality standards. • Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly store tools and equipment at the end of each shift. Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience with construction or solar installation and general labor tasks. • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools in a construction or mechanical assembly setting. • Experience in construction mechanical assembly, carpentry, or solar panel assembly. • Experience working on commercial construction and solar projects. • OSHA 10 certification. • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding work in an outdoor environment. • Comfort and familiarity with consistent use of PPE including gloves, glasses, vests, hard hats, and face shields. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in utility-scale solar projects in either research and development or field operations. • Forklift certification, including 5k or 10k telehandler certification and Gradall certification. • Proven experience safely operating forklifts and related material-handling equipment. • Strong attention to safety practices and adherence to construction site protocols. • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You use hand and power tools, heavy equipment, and material-handling devices while following established safety protocols. The environment is collaborative and production-focused, with an emphasis on safe work practices, clear communication, and teamwork throughout each shift. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Fremont, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
