Job Title: Structural Steel WelderJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Structural Steel Welder to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will posses at least 4 years of experience in the field and will be responsible for welding and assembling steel components used in commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of welding techniques and structural steel standards.Responsibilities
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine project specifications. • Weld structural steel components using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques. • Operate cutting, grinding, and welding equipment safely and efficiently. • Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and compliance with industry standards. • Perform layout, fitting, and fabrication of steel assemblies. • Collaborate with engineers and fabricators to ensure quality and timely completion of projects. • Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools. • Proficiency with measuring tools and fitting techniques. • Strong understanding of structural steel and fabrication processes. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Skilled in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques. • Experience in inspecting welds for quality and compliance. • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and fabricators. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bakersfield, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
