About this role
Job Title: Machine OperatorJob DescriptionThis role supports production at the end of a mill line in an automotive manufacturing environment. You pack boxes, deburr and move stainless steel tubes across the facility, assist the mill operator, and perform quality control using precision measuring tools. As you gain confidence and experience over 2–4 months, you receive training to become a full machine operator. The work is physically demanding and involves repeatedly lifting up to 50 lbs.Responsibilities
• Work at the end of a mill line to support continuous production of stainless steel tubing. • Pack finished tubes into boxes in an accurate, organized, and efficient manner. • Deburr tubes to remove sharp edges and ensure products meet quality standards. • Move tubes across the facility safely, following material handling procedures and lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly. • Assist the mill operator with daily tasks, minor adjustments, and general support to keep the line running smoothly. Essential Skills
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience, ideally in a machine operator or similar production role. • Proven ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly in a physically demanding environment. • Consistent work history, with at least one year at previous roles and clear reasons for job changes. • Hands-on experience performing quality checks using measuring tools such as verniers, calipers, and micrometers. There are multiple shifts available between straight afternoons, straight nights, and day/afternoon rotations. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of WATERLOO, ON. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
