Job Summary:Responsible for helping deliver profitable growth by working from specifications to producelayouts, make modifications on standard models and drawings for machinery. Performs some detailing of engineeringconcepts as directed. Compile and maintain required documents and records. Essential FunctionsThis list of dutiesand responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include otherduties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time totime.· Demonstrate company values.· Contribute to the company safety program.· Compile Bills of Materials andspecification sheets.· Modify or adjust existing 3D modelsaccording to defined specifications.· Participate in Lean initiatives.Recommend and help implement improvements.· Study and analyze blue prints andcomputer or hand generated technical drawings.· Complete investigations pertinent to thedesign. Maintain records, documents and findings.· Prioritize and complete work timely,anticipating and communicating necessary shifts in project timelines.· Perform drafting, and assist Engineersand Senior Drafter-Designers with designing products or facilities.· Work from standard product specificationsusing manufacturing and material quotes to guide design decisions.· Complete timely ECNs as required.Maintain ECN procedures and documentation in PDM when creating and redesigningexisting products.· Collaborate with shop personnel to ensuredesign manufacturability, efficiency, and an appropriate combination of costand quality are achieved.· Use Solidworks, Solidworks PDM, MS Officeand other business programs as directed. Complete required reports,documentation and approvals.· Work independently and as part of a teamto produce or modify a variety of standard layouts, assemblies, and drawingsfor new and existing products.· Perform all other duties as assigned.QualificationsTo perform this jobsuccessfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily. AutoCAD experience is a plus.· Team player and self-motivated. Abilityto work attentively and efficiently at producing high quality work.· Strong mechanical aptitude. Basicknowledge of industrial machines and manufacturing processes and tools.· Knowledge of characteristics of metals,production techniques, and how these impact the quality of the form, fit andfunction of the designed components and systems is ideal· Knowledge of manufacuturing process andcan apply them to technical drawing layout to communicate design intentincluding appropriate use of datum, tolerancing and GD&T Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sussex, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
