About this role
Courier Basic Purpose To perform pick-ups of outbound shipments and deliveries of inbound shipments in accordance with DHL operational standards, agreed service levels and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities • Perform timely collection and delivery of shipments while ensuring high levels of customer service. • Inspect outbound shipments in line with DHL standards, customs requirements, security procedures and IATA Dangerous Goods regulations. • Scan and process shipments accurately using DHL operational systems and checkpoints. • Support sorting, loading and unloading activities when required. • Ensure compliance with DHL quality, security and operational procedures (GSOP and ISO standards). • Operate company vehicles safely and in accordance with DHL Driving and Road Safety policies. • Support Linehaul and station operations as required to maintain operational continuity. • Contribute to team performance, service quality and achievement of operational targets. • Promote DHL's professional image through customer interactions and adherence to company standards. Requirements • Secondary education. • Valid category B driving licence. • Good communication and customer service skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Basic computer skills. • Commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.
