Schep?s Bakeries is seeking a hands-on, organized, and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across multiple facilities. This role will oversee a team of electricians, mechanics, and contractors while building strong systems, improving equipment reliability, and helping create a more structured and proactive maintenance department.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can mentor people, bring organization to the team, and ensure maintenance is planned, prioritized, and executed properly.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Lead and manage the maintenance team across multiple facilities * Supervise electricians, mechanics, and outside contractors * Build structure, accountability, and clear maintenance processes * Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs * Improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime * Organize work orders, scheduling, spare parts, and follow-up systems * Coordinate repairs, shutdowns, and maintenance priorities across sites * Mentor and develop the maintenance team * Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard * Maintain accurate maintenance records and support compliance requirements
*Qualifications*
* Maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing, food production, or industrial operations * Experience managing teams that include electrical and mechanical trades * Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and department organization * Hands-on technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility systems * Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills * Ability to bring structure, discipline, and follow-through to a growing operation
