About this role
*Duties*
* Safely operate commercial trucks over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. * Load and unload freight using forklift or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement. * Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly. * Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight details, and delivery documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. * Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep trucks in optimal condition. * Ensure freight is secured properly for transit, preventing damage during transportation.
*Requirements*
* Valid commercial driver?s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. * Proven experience in commercial driving, especially in long-haul routes. * Strong communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients.
Pay: $32.00 per hour
