Western Zone is seeking an Intensivist or specialist with considerable experience in Critical Care Medicine at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL.Responsibilities include participation in ICU on-call schedules and base specialty practice across Internal Medicine and subspecialties, Anesthesiology, and Emergency Medicine. Western Memorial Regional Hospital is a newly constructed, state-of-the-art 164-bed regional referral centre ? the largest hospital in Newfoundland and Labrador outside St. John's ? serving Western Newfoundland.Practice Profile:8?12 ICU weeks per year12-bed Level III ICURenal replacement therapy with CRRT and intermittent HD with nephrology backupFull diagnostic imaging including CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and Interventional RadiologyTeaching opportunities including local Family Medicine program, rotating Internal Medicine residents, and clinical clerksTertiary services including invasive cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, and neurosurgery available in St. John'sNL Health Services is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, and academic interests are encouraged and supported.Work EnvironmentCorner Brook is a vibrant and active community offering exceptional downhill skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, kayaking, and salmon fishing on Newfoundland's beautiful West Coast.
