*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused *Full-Time Cashier* to join our team in a busy Asian supermarket. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling transactions accurately, providing excellent customer service, and supporting daily front-end operations.
Knowledge of Chinese is considered an *asset*, as it may assist in communicating with some customers and supporting POS product identification; however, *it is not a requirement* for this position.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Accurately scan and process customer purchases using the POS system * Handle cash, debit, credit, and other payment methods responsibly * Ensure correct pricing, product identification, and receipt issuance * Provide friendly and professional customer service * Assist customers with general inquiries * Maintain a clean and organized checkout area * Follow store policies, cash-handling procedures, and safety guidelines * Support other front-end duties as assigned
*Qualifications & Requirements*
* Previous cashier or retail experience preferred (training provided) * Basic math skills and strong attention to detail * Good customer service and communication skills * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment * Ability to stand for extended periods * *Ability to communicate in Chinese is an asset but not required*
