Saskatoon Pallet is a leading provider of new pallets, crates, core boxes and industrial wood products. We take pride in our commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. We?re looking for a Manager to lead daily operations, sales, drive efficiency, and ensure our team produces top-quality pallets on time and within budget.
*Responsibilities:*
* Oversee day-to-day operations of the pallet shop, including production, repair, and recycling. * Supervise and schedule shop employees; manage staffing levels to meet production goals. * Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. * Ensure product quality and compliance with company and customer specifications. * Track production metrics, materials usage, and inventory. * Handle logistics and sales * Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste. * Train and mentor employees on equipment use, safety procedures, and quality standards. * Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities, report maintenance needs.
*Qualifications:*
* Experience in pallet manufacturing, wood products, or a similar production environment is preferred, but not required. * Prior supervisory or management experience preferred. * Strong understanding of pallet construction, repair processes, and equipment (saws, nailers, stackers, etc.) is preferred, but not required. * Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. * Commitment to workplace safety and quality control. * Ability to read and interpret production schedules and work orders. * Basic computer skills (MS Office, production software, etc.). * Forklift certification a plus.
