The Kootenay Co-op is looking for a *full-time* Baker to join the *Food Services* Team in a *temporary 3-month position*! Do you love creating fresh breads, desserts and scratch-made baked goods? Are you passionate about working with high-quality ingredients and bringing delicious products to our community? Then this is the job for you! Apply now! The following position is for *32-40* *hours a week.* Evening + weekend availability is required.
*SKILLS + QUALIFICATIONS*
· Food Safe Level 1 certification
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Strong attention to detail and ability to meet production deadlines
· Excellent communication skills and reliability under pressure
· Ability to lift 25 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
· Minimum 3 years professional bakery experience
*DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES*
· Prepare daily baked goods for café, showcase, and grab-and-go
· Create ingredient order lists and ensure accurate signage
· Maintain sanitary food handling and kitchen cleanliness
· Deliver consistent, high-quality products and meet production deadlines
· Coordinate production equipment use with other kitchen programs
· Provide excellent customer service and address complaints appropriately
· Ensure compliance with all internal and external health and safety regulations, as well as employee policies and procedures
· Other duties as required

*Rate: $22-28/ hour depending on experience *
