*About the Role:* Range Road Contracting is looking for a skilled and reliable *Equipment Operator* to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience operating a variety of heavy machinery and a strong mechanical aptitude. You will play an essential role in supporting our construction and earthworks projects, helping us deliver high-quality results safely and efficiently.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Operate a range of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, graders, skid steers, and loaders. * Perform earthworks and site preparation tasks such as digging, grading, trenching, and backfilling. * Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation. * Work collaboratively with site supervisors and crew members to meet project deadlines. * Adhere to all company and regulatory safety protocols. * Accurately track equipment usage and report any mechanical issues.
*Qualifications & Experience:*
* *Minimum 2?3 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or civil environment.* * Proficiency in operating excavators, dozers, graders, skid steers, and loaders. * Class 1 or 3 driver?s license is an asset. * Strong mechanical understanding of equipment operation and upkeep. * Familiarity with GPS-enabled equipment is an asset. * Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work in varying weather conditions and site environments.
*Additional Information:* Most of our work is based in Calgary and surrounding areas. However, some projects may require travel outside the city. For these out-of-town assignments, compensation and accommodations are provided.
