About this role
We are looking for a carpenter to add to our team! Successful candidate will be a journeyman OR have journeyman equivalency and be able to work unsupervised to perform all forming and framing carpentry tasks. Responsibilities:
· Easily perform forming and framing carpentry that meets local codes and bylaws without supervision, after being given a task list by the Lead Hand
· Supervise an apprentice or labourer
Qualifications:
· Journeyman or journeyman equivalent skills and experience
· Minimum 3 years of work experience in construction
· Familiarity with building codes and safety standards
· Excellent communication in English
· Ability to read blueprints and plans
· Valid class 5 drivers license
· Candidates must have their own hand tools
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to stand, bend and kneel for extended periods
· Must be able to lift and carry heavy tools and materials
· Must be able to work in all weather conditions
· Must be able to work at heights, on ladders or scaffolding
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
