About this role
The Manager, Assertion of Jurisdiction leads IOGC's work to support First Nations in advancing greater jurisdiction, management, and control over oil and gas resources on their lands. The Manager provides leadership and oversight to IOGC's audit functions, including production audits, royalty audits, and First Nation examinations and audits. The Manager leads strategic initiatives related to First Nations governance, assertion of jurisdiction, service transfer, and governance transition. The Manager works closely with First Nations, partners, and federal officials. The position provides strategic advice to senior management, leads engagement and co-development activities, and develops options and pathways to advance First Nation priorities. The position manages human and financial resources of the Assertion of jurisdiction team.
