Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Child welfare. Work setting: Group home. Work in employer's/client's home. Tasks: Prepare reports or case histories. Resolve conflict situations. Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses. Supervise children's visits with parents to ensure their safety. Implement behaviour management programs. Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Accompany clients to appointments and social outings. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. 3-4 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). Emergency child care first aid and CPR.
