About this role

Job summary

We would like to offer an opportunity for newly qualified / recently qualified band 5 podiatrists to join our friendly team.

You will receive full support to complete preceptorship and junior competencies portfolio (if applicable).

Main duties of the job

The role is varied - you will provide care from a range of community venues along with providing care to patients in their own homes who are unable to attend clinic. It it therefore essential you have access to appropriate transport.

The role involves assessing and treating a range of patients with underlying health conditions which place their foot at risk, and those with a podiatric need. You will develop treatment plans appropriate to their level of risk and provide health education to patients to support their treatment to achieve optimal outcomes.

Along with general podiatry clinics the post holder will provide basic biomechanical assessments and treatments which may include exercise and the provision of orthotics.

Previous experience of NHS podiatry Previous experience of working in a health care environment

Qualifications / Training Essential

BSc. Hons in Podiatry HCPC registration as a Podiatrist Evidence of CPD portfolio Local Analgesia Administration Certificate

Knowledge and Skills Essential

Problem solving Skills IT skills organisational skills Ability to produce, document implement and evaluate care plans.
