Post Incident Response Service Opportunity -Expression of Interest:
The RDaSH Post Incident Response Service is part of the Trauma and Resilience Service within the Psychological Professions and Therapies Care Group.
Expressions of interest are being sought in the first instance from colleagues currently working in a band 7 or above position who are passionate about advancing equality, diversity, and inclusion within the NHS.
Role Overview:
o Position: Secondment Opportunity, Agenda for Change Band 7.
o Time Commitment: 2 days (15 hours per week)
o Purpose: To work alongside the existing Post Incident Response Service team to support members of staff and leadership following challenging incidents and events in the workplace.
o Offers opportunities for the successful candidate to develop foundational consultancy skills whilst being supported to access further qualifications and training in this area.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
o Provide 1:1 and group support to staff following incidents such as:
o Discrimination
o Patient or staff safety incidents
o Cumulative effects of organisational change, loss, or other challenging events
o Support leadership to understand the impact of these incidents, including recognising the ripple effects incident can have on team dynamics
o Contribute to initiatives that strengthen staff wellbeing and actively promote inclusivity

Qualifications Essential
Clinical Psychology: Post-graduate training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS. HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist: Post-graduate training. Registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council or Association of Child Psychotherapists. Social worker: postgraduate training Mental health nursing: postgraduate training. Occupational Therapist: postgraduate training
Experience Essential
Hold a core professional qualification as a Psychologist, Psychotherapist, Social worker, Mental Health Nurse or Occupational Therapist within a designated service including a wide variety of client groups Experience of holding responsibility within a defined professional role, including care coordination, leadership, or equivalent responsibilities Demonstrable interest in staff wellbeing, trauma-informed practice, or organisational dynamics Professional liaison and joint working skills with multi-agencies Teaching, training, clinical supervision Research and development Active participation in quality and service improvement initiatives
Knowledge Essential
Evidence- based practice relevant to the role Risk assessment, Safeguarding procedures and Trauma Informed Approaches Clinical experience of complex trauma
Desirable
Clinical governance/involvement in the systems that healthcare organisations use to continuously improve quality. Awareness of psychological models of distress as relevant to systems of work
Skills Essential
Communicate and receive complex, emotive, sensitive information effectively, to a wide range of people Undertake work and liaise with multiple clinical and non-clinical systems Ability to develop and foster a consultative stance Provide effective teaching and training with leaders, managers and supervisors and teams when required Identify, provide and promote appropriate interventions / means of support for staff exposed to highly distressing situations Utilise appropriate clinical governance mechanisms within own work. Compliant with Mandatory Training Demonstrate effective keyboard skills Use multimedia materials for presentations in professional training settings.
