Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Employ creative problem solving to identify opportunities for process improvement in bed assignment, transfer, patient flow and resource utilization. Ensure that appropriate administrative procedures are followed. Ensure that quality nursing care is provided to patients. Administer budget. Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment . Assist in the establishment of unit policies and procedures. Assist in the selection, evaluation and professional development of personnel. Set up and co-ordinate nursing services in conjunction with other health services. Supervise registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and other nursing personnel. Supervision: 5-10 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CPR Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Immunization records. Tuberculosis test. Vulnerable sector check. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Repetitive tasks.
