Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Accept cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit payment. Operate cash register. Prepare sales, rental or leasing contracts. Provide advice about merchandise. Perform data entry. Provide customer service. Assist in display of merchandise. Conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce. Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates. Greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental or lease. Maintain sales records for inventory control. Prepare merchandise for purchase, rental or lease. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years. Support for youths: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment. Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
