Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Construction. Millwork/pre-fab shopwork. Residential. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Apprenticeship training: Pre-apprenticeship training. Level one apprenticeship training. Level two apprenticeship training. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Willing to travel. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Physically demanding. Tight deadlines. Work with minimal supervision. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
