Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Work site environment: Confined spaces. Noisy. Non-smoking. Tasks: Install gas heating units and their components. Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment. Service gas heating units and their components. Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment. Study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the installation and materials required. Install and service propane and natural gas filling stations. Test and replace defective equipment or components. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 1 or A. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Personal suitability: Dependability. Team player.
