Tasks: Determine areas for fishing and plot courses. Plan fishing season according to budget . Plot courses and compute navigational positions. Steer vessels and operate navigational instruments and electronic fishing aids. Operate communications equipment. Operate fishing vessels and fishing gears. Transport fish to processing plants or fish buyers. Maintain engine, fishing gear and other on-board equipment. Record fishing progress, crew activities, weather and sea conditions on ship's log.
