About this role
Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Commercial. Industrial. Institutional. Construction site. Tasks: Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems. Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors. Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings. Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment. Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges. Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Working at heights training. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Apprenticeship training: Level two apprenticeship training. Level three apprenticeship training. Level four apprenticeship training. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus.
