Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: At heights. Outdoors. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings. Install roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings. Repair roofing systems. Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools. Install sheet metal flashings. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Repetitive tasks. Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability. Reliability. Team player. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
