Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Community or retail pharmacy. Tasks: Ensure the information on prescriptions is accurate. Enter client information in databases. Help pharmacists. Maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products. Maintain prescription records . Prepare medications for clients. Set up and dismantle equipment. Clean and maintain equipment. Compound, package and label pharmaceutical products. Help with scheduling and workflow. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Record vital signs. Bill third party insurers. Compound oral solutions, ointments and creams. Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products. Maintain supplies. Maintain inventory of equipment. Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas. Order supplies and equipment. Organize and maintain inventory. Schedule and confirm appointments. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CPR Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS Word. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Confidential security clearance.
