Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Fruit and vegetable combination farming. Outdoors. Viticulture. Wet/damp. Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Dirty. Work setting: Rural area. Various locations. Tasks: Apply fertilizers. Apply the technique of hoeing between the row. Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas. Clear fields of wood and stones. Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots. Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high price in market.. Maintain and manage growth of vines, vine canopy and grapes. Pack fruits and vegetables. Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops. Shear and shape trees and plants with knife. Sort fruits and vegetables. Tie and secure plants. Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality. Weeding. Fertilize and spray crops. Harvest crops. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently.
