About this role
Education: Bachelor's degree. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Community or retail pharmacy. Tasks: Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies. Advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication. Check prescriptions for proper dosage. Maintain medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs. Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians and other staff. Develop information materials concerning the uses, properties and risks of particular drugs. Supervision: 3-4 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Certification for drug administration by injection and intranasal route. Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification. Security and safety: Eligible for professional liability insurance. Screening questions: Do you have experience working in this field?.
