About this role
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Direct traffic at or near construction sites. Perform other labouring and elemental activities. Assist skilled tradespersons. Clean work area. Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools. Experience: No experience (will train). Support for youths: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment. Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
