MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER- $23/HR- $25/HR- URGENT HIRING- START ASAPJob DescriptionThe Mechanical Assembler assembles metal components into finished products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work at an individual assembly station, using hand and power tools to build the same product throughout the shift while maintaining a steady production rate of approximately one assembly every 2.5 minutes. You follow detailed work instructions or blueprints, ensure accuracy and quality, and perform frequent lifting of assemblies weighing 30–35 lbs. This role suits someone who is comfortable with repetitive work, has strong attention to detail, and has the physical stamina to stand and lift consistently throughout the day while meeting safety and quality standards.Responsibilities
• Assemble metal components into completed products at an individual assembly station. • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform mechanical assembly tasks. • Follow work instructions, standard operating procedures, or blueprints to build products accurately. • Maintain a steady production rate of approximately one assembly every 2.5 minutes. • Perform frequent lifting of assemblies weighing 30–35 lbs throughout the shift. • Stand for long periods while performing repetitive assembly tasks. • Conduct basic quality inspections or self-checks to verify that assemblies meet specifications. • Use basic math skills to take measurements and verify parts and components. • Meet production goals while consistently maintaining quality standards. • Adhere to workplace safety practices and ergonomic guidelines at all times. • Accept direction and coaching and adapt to process or procedural changes as needed. • Collaborate with team members while working independently at your assigned station. • Maintain a clean and organized work area within the assembly environment. Essential Skills
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment. • Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a mechanical assembly setting. • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with mechanical components and assemblies. • Ability to maintain a steady production pace, including completing an assembly approximately every 2.5 minutes. • Comfort with repetitive work and performing the same assembly tasks throughout the shift. • Ability to frequently lift assemblies weighing 30–35 lbs. • Ability to stand for long periods during the shift. • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality assemblies. • Reliability, strong attendance, and a solid work ethic in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards. • Familiarity with basic quality inspections or self-check processes. • Experience working in repetitive, takt-time–driven roles. • Basic math skills for measurements and part verification. • Understanding of workplace safety practices and ergonomics. • Ability to take direction, accept coaching, and adapt to process changes. • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently at a station. The workspace is fairly clean and organized, though not maintained to medical or laboratory standards. You spend most of the day at an individual assembly station, standing for long periods and frequently lifting assemblies weighing 30–35 lbs. You regularly use hand tools and power tools and follow established safety and ergonomic practices while working in a fast-paced, production-driven setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
