Job DescriptionThe Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling industrial paint sprayers using hand and power tools in a fast-paced production environment. You will follow computer-based work instructions, perform basic mechanical assembly, and support labeling and packaging activities while working collaboratively on an assembly line with a small team.Responsibilities
• Assemble industrial paint sprayers using mechanical components, hand tools, and power tools according to standardized procedures. • Follow computer-based work instructions and work orders to ensure accurate and consistent assembly. • Work on an assembly line alongside 4 to 10 team members, contributing to a smooth and efficient production flow. • Perform basic mechanical assembly tasks, including fitting, fastening, and aligning parts to meet quality standards. • Assist with labeling and packaging of finished products as needed to support overall production output. • Use electrical and mechanical knowledge, as applicable, to identify and resolve minor assembly issues. • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and follow all safety procedures and guidelines. • Communicate clearly with team members and trainers to report issues, clarify instructions, and support continuous improvement. • Lift and move parts and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds as part of daily assembly activities. • Stand for extended periods while performing repetitive assembly tasks in a production environment. Essential Skills
• At least 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing setting, with mechanical assembly experience highly preferred. • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work confidently with hand tools and power tools, whether from prior jobs or personal projects such as home renovations or automotive work. • Ability to read and follow computer-based work instructions and work orders. • Good computer skills to navigate and interpret digital instructions and documentation. • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with trainers, supervisors, and team members. • Comfort standing on your feet throughout the shift in a production environment. • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. • Experience working on an assembly line or in a similar fast-paced production role. • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience with mechanical assembly of industrial equipment or similar products. • Familiarity with reading work orders and following standardized operating procedures. • Exposure to electrical components or basic electrical assembly is a plus. • Experience working in a team-oriented production environment. • Interest in further technical training or trades education. • Comfort working in a goal-oriented environment focused on safety and process improvement. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
