About this role

Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements: We require you to have ILR or be a UK citizen.We are looking for an experienced Lead Business Central Consultant with strong BC/NAV consulting experience in a Microsoft consultancy or partner environment.You need strong knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central configuration and functional design.You should have finance expertise covering GL, AP, AR, banking, VAT, MTD, dimensions, posting groups and reporting.You should have operational expertise across sales, purchasing, inventory, items, approvals and projects/jobs.You need full lifecycle ERP delivery experience across discovery, design, configuration, testing, training, migration, go-live and hypercare.You should have data migration experience including mapping, cleansing, validation, templates and reconciliation.You need awareness of integrations with Microsoft 365, D365 Sales, Power Platform, Azure and ISVs.You should have strong documentation skills and excellent consultancy, stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.You need strong written and verbal communication, commercial awareness, and the ability to work within scope, budget and timelines.Microsoft BC certifications, Power Platform or Copilot knowledge, AL development exposure, and presales or solution architecture experience are desirable. Responsibilities: We lead discovery, requirements gathering, fit-gap and design workshops.We analyse business processes and identify improvement opportunities.We produce solution designs, functional specs, process maps and documentation.We recommend best-practice use of Business Central and related Microsoft technologies.We challenge unnecessary customisation and promote standard capability.We work with architects and developers to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.We lead full lifecycle Business Central implementations from initiation through go-live and hypercare.We configure Business Central in line with agreed requirements and designs.We facilitate playback, sign-off, testing and readiness sessions.We support governance, estimation, scope management and change control.We identify risks and issues early and work with the team to resolve them.We ensure outputs meet delivery standards and customer expectations.We provide expert guidance across finance, sales, purchasing, inventory, projects/jobs and reporting.We advise on dimensions, posting groups, VAT, MTD, banking, approvals and operational processes.We support decisions around standard functionality, ISV extensions, integrations and automation.We define and support data migration strategy, mapping, cleansing and validation.We support configuration packages, templates and customer data readiness.We lead and support UAT planning, test script review and defect triage.We deliver training for key users and end users.We provide go-live readiness guidance and hands-on hypercare support.We assist the Managed Service team with complex issues when required.We scope new functionality and act as a trusted advisor for existing clients.We mentor and coach BC consultants.We share best practice and reusable assets across the team.We contribute to methodology, templates, accelerators and quality standards.We support presales activities including discovery, demos, proposals and estimates.We act as a role model for company values. This is a senior, client-facing Lead Business Central Consultant role within a growing BC practice, working remotely or hybrid with occasional office-based requirements.
