About this role
We are looking for a Network Operations Technical Lead to provide hands-on technical leadership for the operation of our global data-centre network. You will act as an escalation point for complex incidents, guide other engineers, and improve the reliability and efficiency of network operations. Responsibilities Provide technical guidance to Network Operations engineers. Lead the investigation and resolution of major network incidents. Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, connectivity, latency, and packet-loss issues. Coordinate incident response across Network Engineering, Provisioning, Infrastructure, and data-centre teams. Review network configurations, maintenance plans, and production changes. Perform root-cause analysis and define preventive actions after incidents. Improve monitoring, alerting, operational procedures, and troubleshooting documentation. Identify opportunities to automate routine network operations. Mentor engineers and promote technical knowledge sharing. Monitor network performance, capacity, availability, and operational risks. Requirements At least five years of experience in network operations, network engineering, telecommunications, or data-centre networking. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, routing, switching, and network redundancy. Advanced understanding of VLANs, xSTP, LACP, VRRP, and related Layer 2 technologies. Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting service-provider or enterprise network equipment. Strong incident-management, root-cause analysis, and technical decision-making skills. Experience with network monitoring, logging, IPAM, and configuration-management tools. Ability to prepare and review implementation, validation, and rollback procedures. Experience mentoring or technically coordinating other engineers. English at Upper-Intermediate level or higher. Nice to have Experience with Juniper, Nokia, Extreme Networks, or Brocade equipment. Knowledge of EVPN, VXLAN, MPLS, or data-centre fabrics. Experience with Python, Ansible, APIs, Git, or network automation. Background in a global hosting, cloud, telecom, or IaaS environment. Relevant professional networking certifications.
