About this role
Main responsibilities Lead, support, and develop a team of Network Engineers. Organize the team’s workload and coordinate operational and project priorities. Ensure the availability, performance, and resilience of network infrastructure across multiple data centres. Act as the primary escalation point for complex network incidents. Coordinate incident response, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. Review network configurations, planned changes, implementation procedures, and rollback plans. Participate in network architecture, capacity planning, infrastructure expansion, and the deployment of new locations. Establish technical standards and improve network-management procedures. Promote the automation of repetitive configuration and operational tasks. Monitor network performance, recurring incidents, operational risks, and service-quality indicators. Coordinate maintenance activities with data centres, carriers, equipment vendors, and internal teams. Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, configuration standards, and knowledge base materials. Conduct one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and technical-development planning. Support recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the team. Prepare operational reports and communicate technical risks and resource requirements to management. Requirements At least five years of professional experience in network engineering, telecommunications, hosting, or data-centre networking. Previous experience leading, coordinating, or mentoring network engineers. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network redundancy. Advanced understanding of BGP and OSPF. Strong knowledge of VLANs, xSTP, LACP, VRRP, and other Layer 2 and high-availability technologies. Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise or service-provider network equipment. Experience managing network changes in business-critical production environments. Ability to diagnose complex connectivity, routing, performance, and packet-loss issues. Experience with network monitoring, configuration management, IPAM, and incident-management tools. Understanding of capacity planning, network resilience, and failure-domain design. Ability to review technical solutions and make sound architectural decisions. Strong leadership, prioritization, and incident-coordination skills. English and Russian at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
