About this role
We are looking for a Service Operations Engineer to maintain and support our internal cloud platform and infrastructure services. This is a technical operations role without direct customer communication and does not require extensive software development. Responsibilities Ensure the stable operation and availability of cloud infrastructure and hosted services. Administer and support Kubernetes platforms and containerized workloads. Execute software deployments, infrastructure updates, capacity expansion, and scheduled maintenance activities. Respond to operational alerts and troubleshoot issues affecting servers, storage, networking, and cloud platforms. Review system logs, monitoring data, and performance metrics to identify root causes of incidents. Work closely with Cloud Engineering, Network, Infrastructure, and Development teams to resolve technical issues. Assist with the implementation of infrastructure changes and contribute to incident reviews. Develop and maintain operational documentation, monitoring standards, and support procedures. Streamline operational processes through automation and scripting. Requirements Minimum two years of experience in cloud infrastructure, systems administration, technical operations, or a related field. Solid knowledge of Linux administration in production environments. Hands-on experience managing Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters. Good understanding of cloud platforms, virtualization technologies, and container orchestration. Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and firewall concepts. Experience using monitoring, logging, and incident-response solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Basic scripting skills in Bash, Python, or a similar language. English proficiency at Intermediate (B1) level or above. Nice to have Experience with Helm, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools. Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or other observability platforms. Understanding of CI/CD processes and Git. Experience working with high-availability or distributed systems. Background in hosting, IaaS, SaaS, or data-centre infrastructure.
