About this role
- Ensure the availability, performance, and resilience of network infrastructure across multiple data centres.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents and technical issues.
- Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network equipment and services.
- Prepare and review network configurations, planned changes, implementation procedures, and rollback plans.
- Participate in network architecture, capacity planning, infrastructure expansion, and deployment of new locations.
- Implement and maintain technical standards and network-management procedures.
- Automate repetitive network configuration and operational tasks.
- Monitor network performance, recurring incidents, operational risks, and service-quality indicators.
- Perform maintenance activities in cooperation with data centres, carriers, equipment vendors, and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, configuration standards, and knowledge base materials.
- Participate in technical projects related to network infrastructure and services.
- Share technical knowledge and provide technical assistance to other team members when required.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional experience in network engineering, telecommunications, hosting, or data-centre networking.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network redundancy.
- Advanced understanding of BGP and OSPF.
- Strong knowledge of VLANs, xSTP, LACP, VRRP, and other Layer 2 and high-availability technologies.
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise or service-provider network equipment.
- Experience implementing and managing network changes in business-critical production environments.
- Ability to diagnose complex connectivity, routing, performance, and packet-loss issues.
- Experience with network monitoring, configuration management, IPAM, and incident-management tools.
- Understanding of capacity planning, network resilience, and failure-domain design.
- Ability to analyze technical solutions and network architecture.
- Experience with network automation and scripting would be an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- English and Russian at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
